01/17/23 HOLD FAST, FAINT NOT
I have had a few bumps in my journey, but last year was the most difficult in many ways. But by God's grace I made it through.
I was hoping to find respite in 2023, but new troubles and trials of various kinds have escorted me, Martha Gould and our family into the New Year.
"Through it all," Jesus has enabled, encouraged and empowered us.
"I have questions for tomorrow," but I have no doubt in the love, wisdom, power and plan of God, whatever it is.
My faith relationship with Jesus transformed me and my walk with Him has taught me that He never fails and He never forsakes His Own.
I am thankful for the love, prayers and support of "The Net House Crew." At the same time, I have watched some of them deal with their own challenges. I am fully convinced that God is leading us through flood and flames in these days. It is, "in times like these," we need to put out our big anchor, hold fast and faint not.
In fact, I have noticed many others in the household of faith coming under intense attacks (physical, financial, relational and spiritual).
This is no time to falter or whimper or doubt. Hold on and move forward while you can, and when you are physically unable, God will hold you; He will see you through the storm; He will be your Light in a pitch black world; He will be your Rock and Supply in a weary land; He will be your Spring in a dry and thirsty desert.
You are His child, you have His Blood, His Spirit, His word. As the Giver of every good and perfect gift, He gives you everything you need for life and godliness. Don't give way to sin, difficulty or the enemy of your soul.
In everything give thanks.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 John 5:4
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Jude 1:20-21 and 24-25
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
