05/17/23 Naked as a Sooty Tern (or a Dodo)
I am having a hard time coming back from my delusions. Actually, I am having to come back from the mental treatments I was forced to take because of my supposed delusions.
Many years ago I said that the king had no clothes, and he was as naked as a Tern. (OK, I did not say Tern, but I did not think Blue Jay was appropriate.)
I cried out that the king was naked, but some of the really smart people around me said he was not naked and others said I should not be so dogmatic in my opinion. Of course, it was not my opinion. HE WAS NAKED. But he was personable, he was articulate, he was educated and he was the social darling, so no one could say anything about him that was negative. (But he was still naked.)
I lost friends because I was honest about the king. Eventually the king left his throne and we had a well dressed king in the palace. Wouldn't you know it, everyone started saying our new king was naked, including the courtiers, the media, the academics, and a host of other self servers.
Now I was considered crazy because I called the naked king, naked and I was considered crazy because I said the new king was not naked.
Then, a new king took the throne and he was as naked as a Dodo Bird. Now people began to call me a conspiracy theorist and an enemy of the kingdom and a terrorist because I stood against the naked insanity of the Dodo king.
In order to keep my job and to stay out of a mental institution or jail, I was required to attend sessions for re-education. This went on for a couple of years until someone in the palace finally admitted the nakedness of the Tern and the Dodo.
The kingdom suffered, families suffered, economy suffered, individuals suffered because they insisted that the king was naked. Now the evidence is in. They were naked and their supporters were either deluded or lying for their kings.
But instead of admitting the nakedness of those kings, the supporters still claim that I was deluded. Those of us who were not deluded into lying for the king have lost more than can be tallied. Our lives and our kingdom will never be the same.
I am just glad that I was not deluded and led astray by either of those birds.
