God the Son (the Logos, the Son of God) has always been God. But the Logos has not always been a human being. Approximately 2,000 years ago the Logos became flesh and dwelt among mankind. As Man, Jesus lived, died and rose from the dead (and as part of the Godhead, He raised Himself from the dead). When Jesus ascended to heaven He ascended as God and Man. As the Logos, Who became Man, He sits at the right hand of the Father. Jesus made it possible for all men, that is, all sinners to live with God forever.
Believe that Jesus died and rose again to save you from your sins.
If you truly believe in Him, truly trust Him, you will surrender to His will and you will keep His commandments and you will do that which is pleasing in His sight.
Salvation, the Christian life, is the miraculous presence of God in us.
