09/06/23 GROSS BLASPHEMY
The following two points are gross and blasphemous, however, it demonstrates the putrid level of sinning religion.
Decades ago I met a person who claimed to be saved, but he had a perverse view of God and His salvation. He framed the principle of his surrender to God by saying he was, "God's prostitute."
What a blasphemy. He was basically likening God to a whore-monger. And of course I confronted him concerning his blasphemy.
Recently I saw a post that was equally disturbing. It referred to a very popular teacher of sinning religion. I was not surprised at the blasphemy of R.C. Sproul, but it was something I had not heard before.
Sproul taught the lie that no one can receive Christ freely since sinning religion claims "unilateral, unconditional, double predestination" (that is, God supposedly elected certain people to be saved and deliberately creates everyone else to be damned, with no choice but to sin). Sproul's god saves whoever he wants to save, unconditionally and Sproul said that no matter how much a person does not want to believe the gospel, his god would save them anyway.
Here is the new thought I read and then heard from him on a recording. Sproul likens the supposed election of God, the so-called "efficacious atonement" (properly known as "limited atonement") to... (TRUST ME, I DON'T EVEN LIKE TO REPORT SUCH BLASPHEMY)... Sproul likened the salvific work of God as a "HOLY RAPE OF THE SOUL."
Sproul claimed that Jonathan Edwards had used the terminology. Sproul said, in defense of such heresy, "I think it is the most graphic and descriptive term I can think of."
If Sproul did not say such a blasphemous thing, then show me where I am in error. If he did say such a filthy thing, then you should renounce any admiration in Sproul. In fact, since Sproul said such a blasphemous thing in support of his false doctrines, then you should really reconsider the origin of those false doctrines, which say God does not love everyone with a redemptive love, and that Christ did not die for the sins of the whole world, and that God does not want all of the lost to be saved and that there is no actual call to repentance and salvation for them.
Anyone who claims that they are God's prostitute or claims that God performs a "holy rape of the soul" is not fit to be a teacher and is not worthy to be admired, since they probably are not even saved. A Christian will not call God a whore-monger or a rapist. Whoever demeans God as such needs to repent and be saved.
