The time to count the cost of discipleship, the cost of faithfulness, is before the cost is exacted.

Understand that being a Christian, being a Christian witness is a call to be a Christian martyr. Jesus' call to follow Him includes, "Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me."

These words are just as inspired, infallible, inerrant, authoritative as the passage that says we, "must be born again."

Self denial is a Divinely required condition for salvation. Remember, in order to be saved we must accept Christ as our Lord (our Master, our God), as well as believe that He was raised from the dead." Then God requires us to walk in His light, in His Spirit, in truth, in love.

The devil wants us to presume on God's goodness to save us.
The devil wants us to continue sinning.
The devil wants us to settle for the self life, by saying that God does not require response or action on our part. In fact, the devil says that obedience is actually "works salvation."
The devil claims that personal sacrifice, self denial, submission and obedience are sinful attempts to earn salvation.

The seal of God says God knows those who are His and they are to depart from evil. 

There is no easy believism.
There is no cheap grace.
There is no crown without the cross.
