12/02/23 WHO YOU KNOW MATTERS

I admit, I get my theology and doctrine from men, holy men of old, in-breathed by God and directed by the Holy Spirit to record infallible and inerrant truths and compiled in the book we call the Holy Bible.

I also learn from scholars and experts in the fields of linguistics, geography, geology, archaeology, genetics, history, Biblical studies, philosophy, sociology, theology, ethics, astronomy, physics, zoology, anthropology. But God's word is the final authority. If there is ever a discrepancy between God's word and man's word, I always trust God's word. Neither God nor His word have ever failed.

Sometimes I might not understand something in God's word, but I never move away from trusting God's authority. I know Him and therefore I trust Him. God's word and His works are always consistent with His nature. It is essential to know Him personally.

The better you know Him, the more your faith will grow and more your life will align with Him. Seeking God is seeking truth, wisdom, grace, knowledge, love. God wants to fill us with Himself. He wants to be our, "all in all."
