11/29/23 PRESUMING IS NOT BELIEVING

11/29/23 PRESUMING IS NOT BELIEVING

Presumption says,
"God has unilaterally and unconditionally chosen me," or, "God may unilaterally and unconditionally choose me," or, "God may have excluded me from unilateral and unconditional election, therefore I have no choice for salvation."

or,

Faith says,
God's word says,
I have sinned.
The wages of my sin is eternal separation from God.
God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God would have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
Whosoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.
If I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and if I believe in my heart that Christ has risen from the dead, I shall be saved.

If you don't believe the verses I mentioned and if you believe that God unilaterally and unconditionally either elects you to salvation or He unilaterally chooses not to elect you to salvation, then don't believe, don't confess your sins, don't confess Christ as Savior, don't repent (turn) from your sins, don't follow Jesus. Just leave it all up to God.

Or, if you do believe the verses I mentioned, and if you see your need for salvation, then you need to believe, repent, confess and follow Jesus NOW, because now is the time, now is the day of salvation.
Not making a decision for Christ is to decide against Christ.
Not choosing to believe Christ for salvation is choosing not to believe for salvation.
Not choosing to repent of your sins is choosing to continue in your sins.
Not choosing to confess is choosing to not confess.
Not choosing to follow Jesus is choosing not to follow Jesus.

If you don't believe that you have a choice, then don't choose. But remember, to not choose is to choose. Therefore, if you don't choose, you are choosing. It is your choice. "Choose ye this day..."
If you are convinced that God will save you without your willingness to believe, repent, confess and follow, then don't, and see where that will get you.

But if you believe that God meant what He said in the passages I mentioned and if you believe that God loves you, even while you are in your sins, to such an extent that He gave His Son to die for you and to rise from the dead, then believe on Christ and receive His free gift of salvation.

As the saying goes, "safety is no accident," so I say, "salvation is no accident."
Presume on God and be damned.
Believe on Christ and be saved.
The mystery is not in what God said or what God meant.

The mystery is in why would God say what He did not mean and why He would not mean what He said?

The confusion is in not believing God's word.
God is loving, God is redemptive.
God calls you to salvation.

Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and unto our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Not my opinion or interpretation, just truth.
