11/15/23 YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE

Remember, some things are better caught than taught.

Salvation is a whole-man-reality, including...
Our body, which is the outer man, and is also the temple of God and relates to the world around us,
Our soul, which is the inner man, and relates to the person within us through our reason, desire, emotion, conscience, will.
Our spirit, which is our God consciousness and our relationship with the one true God.

God wants all of a person, every part of a person, all of the time. This is why we are told to love the Lord God with all of our heart, mind, soul, strength (our whole self; our whole being).
God does not want some of your being, He wants all of your being.

God gave His only begotten Son;
Jesus gave His life;
God gives us everything that is necessary for life and godliness.

Should we expect to give anything less than our entire self to God?
Should we love God with anything less than our entire being?

When we love Him, we obey Him.
When we love Him we deny ourselves.
When we love Him we serve Him.

Love, perfect love is not just a nicety, it is a necessity.
Perfect love is not an extra, it is an essential.

You can either wait until the love of God overwhelms you or until perfect love springs up uncontrollably within you, or you can seek God with your whole self, you can hunger and thirst for righteousness. The fact is that God has already provided all you need for salvation, and God has already sought you out and called you to Himself. You have no time to wait. Now is the accepted time, today is the day of salvation. You must believe, repent (turn from sin and turn to God), you must confess your sins to Him and you must confess Him to other people, you must deny yourself and follow Him. God enables you to do these things, but He does not do them for you. Turn your eyes, your ears, your heart, your energy, your abilities toward Jesus. Whenever He calls you, in whatever way He calls you, trust Him, surrender to Him, follow Him. Just waiting is an act of presumption, it is not an act of faith).

Victory in Christ, victory over sin is no accident, victory over the world, victory over self is the deliberate desire and intention of those who seek God.

He came to seek and to save you. The only right thing to do, the only reasonable thing to do is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. He will save you. Only He will save you. He will save you from all sin.

Salvation is not us doing the best we can, it is God in us, God working in us, God living in us. He is our hope of glory.

Romans 12:1-2
1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
