11/24/23 GOD APPOINTS THE CARETAKER

Remember, God chose Israel to be the caretaker of His revelation, the bearer of His message, the channel of His light and love and life, the steward of His salvation, the incarnation of His Son.

In God's plan and provision He reached and included the Gentiles though the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as He had promised Abraham. Now God seeks the reconciliation and redemption of sinful people. We (saved people) are His witnesses, we are His ambassadors, we are His messengers, calling men to turn from their sins, believe on the atoning death and physical resurrection of Christ. The Church is His channel today.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin (the sin sacrifice) for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Timothy 3:14-15
14  These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
15  But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
