12/13/23 LOWERED EDUCATION

12/13/23 LOWERED EDUCATION

University students who soak up the lies and errors of the Liberal academics are spoken of in the Bible, when it says, "Ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth."

In fact, the entire passage is a valid description of today's university students, who have bought into Secular Humanism.
(I designate [with brackets] some particulars appropriate to today's misguided pseudo-intellectuals)
2 Timothy 3:1-7
1 This know also, that [in the last days] [perilous times shall come].
2 For men shall be [lovers of their own selves], [covetous], [boasters], [proud], [blasphemers], [disobedient to parents], [unthankful], [unholy],
3 [Without natural affection], [trucebreakers], [false accusers], [incontinent (without self control)], [fierce], [despisers of those that are good],
4 [Traitors], [heady], [highminded], [lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God];
5 [Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof]: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 [Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth].

Sadly, the same lies and errors are being taught to public school students, corrupting and preparing them for the brain washing of American "higher education." However, in the case of children, it is their parents who willfully and eagerly send them to be corrupted and abused by the anti-American and anti-Christian.

I remember crying aloud concerning this attack on faith, family and freedom forty years ago, and being ostracized by society at large, including most of my Christian friends. Now the corruption and devastation is so obvious that the unsaved are acknowledging the ruination of our nation. (But, most Christians are still resistant to standing against darkness, are still feeding their children to the destroyer of minds and souls).

12/12/23 THE MODERN PRODIGAL

12/12/23 THE MODERN PRODIGAL

It is one thing for the shepherd to seek out the lost sheep. It is a totally different thing when the prodigal requires the father to join him in the pigsty.

12/12/23 THE U.S. of ABSURDITY

12/12/23 THE U.S. of ABSURDITY

Our nation is so sick, so brain washed, so corrupted that our leaders can explain away enemy attacks against us (in every conceivable way) and the citizenry will swallow the swill asking for more.

I feel like we are living in Schiklgruberton, listening to Mau-Town music, eating Chicken Kiev.

If you can't read the signs of the times, you must have been taught by the United States of Absurdity educational system.

12/12/23 JUST A QUICK WORD

12/12/23 JUST A QUICK WORD

After breakfast (country fried steak with sawmill gravy, 2 eggs, grits, wheat toast) at Kountry Kitchen (I do my own food art), I walked for a couple of miles at a nearby shopping center (area marked in red).

Met and talked with two young men from Georgia, who are working in the area today.

Went to my car and chose 3 gospel tracts for them.

Told them I had chosen these for them and said they might enjoy reading the tracts on their drive home.

Asked if they would like to have them and they said, yes.

We thanked each other and I wished them a good trip home.

Pray for them.

12/11/23 DON'T PICK AT THE BONES

12/11/23 DON'T PICK AT THE BONES

(This may seem simple, but it is very important to know. Accept the essentials, don't worry about the unclear details.)
There are things that God revealed with great detail.
There are things that God revealed with some detail.
There are things that God revealed without detail.
There are things God has not revealed.

There are some things we need to know.
There are some things we don't need to know.

We need to know that we have sinned.
We need to know that sin separates from God.
We need to know that we cannot atone for sin.
We need to know that God has provided atonement.
We need to know that atonement comes only through Christ.
We need to know God's plan of salvation.
God promised and revealed the birth, life, death, resurrection, ascension and second coming of the Savior (including time, place, circumstances), but He did not reveal every detail.

I need to know about the Savior's birth, life, death, resurrection, ascension and second coming, but I do not need to know all the details.

I know that Messiah was BORN (location, time, circumstances) but not in detail. I don't need to know all details.
I know that Messiah LIVED (location, time, circumstances) but not in detail. I don't need to know all details.
I know that Messiah DIED (location, time, circumstances) but not in detail. I don't need to know all details.
I know that Messiah ROSE AGAIN (location, time, circumstances) but not in detail. I don't need to know all details.
I know that Messiah ASCENDED (location, time, circumstances) but not in detail. I don't need to know all details.
I know that Messiah IS RETURNING (location, time, circumstances) but not in detail. I don't need to know all details.

These are the essential, yet it is not essential that we know every detail.

There are other prophecies God has given us, which are important, but we do not know all of the details.
We need to know what God has revealed, but we do no need to know or be able to explain all of the details of those prophecies.

Some details in a prophecy are evident when the prophecy is given.
Some details become evident over a period of time.
Some details will not be evident until the prophecy is fulfilled completely.
(Just a personal note at this point)
I don't know and don't care about knowing some details. There are people who make it essential to accept their view of details (though they are not clearly stated in Scripture). Not only does this bring division, it often leads to cult beliefs.

Because of the clear revelation of the Bible, I know Jesus was born, lived, died, rose again, ascended and is coming back. I know some of the details because God clearly revealed some of the details. I do not know some of the details, but that does not change my relationship or my faith in Him.

I celebrate His coming, because it fulfills God's plan of salvation.
Merry Christmas (He is born).
Happy Resurrection (He is risen).
Walk in Victory (to live is Christ and to die is gain; even so, come Lord Jesus).

12/11/23 SAVE YOURSELF

12/11/23 SAVE YOURSELF

I don't have time to warn you about all the mounting corruption in our government and all the anti-Christian actions taking place in our society, but let me just remind you,
1 Timothy 4:16
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

12/11/23 TREASURE THE TREASURE

12/11/23 TREASURE THE TREASURE

It is not about us. It is about Christ in us.

Sometimes the treasure is a mirage, and sometimes the unseen is the treasure.

We are not the real treasure, we are only the vessels.
The treasure is God Himself, or God's message, or both.

Christians have the Person, the presence of God dwelling within, but we also have the light of the gospel, the message of salvation. We are not only the temple of God, we are the messengers, ambassadors of God, sent to a rebellious and condemned world with the terms of peace, offering them reconciliation and an eternal relationship with God.

When we present ourselves as the treasure we obscure the message and we thwart the ministry of reconciliation. We must humble ourselves and exalt only God.

2 Corinthians 4:5-7
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
This ministry and this message deserves our total commitment and full devotion. We should live in such a way as to be worthy of our calling.

Ephesians 3:14-4:3
3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Colossians 1:9-14
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

12/09/23 A PACKAGE DEAL

12/09/23 A PACKAGE DEAL

You can obey God without loving God.
But you cannot love God without obeying God.

You cannot sin while loving God.
And you cannot love God while sinning.

You cannot be absolutely perfect, as God is perfect.
But you can be perfect in love, as God is perfect in love.

Jesus (Who knew no sin) did not become OUR SIN (corruption, disobedience, adultery, hatred, perversion, deception, pride, rebellion).

But Jesus did become OUR SIN SACRIFICE, (as Scripture clearly teaches). Jesus became the propitiation, the satisfaction, the atonement, the reconciliation, expiation, for our sin, our offenses, our rebellion, our separation, our debt).

12/09/23 HEART AND HEAD

12/09/23 HEART AND HEAD

Beware a head knowledge without a heart submission.
Beware intellectual acceptance without spiritual acceptance.
Beware mental assent without behavioral transformation.
Beware the traits of "a form of godliness, (which) denies the power thereof."

True faith is not simply a philosophical or cultural preference, true faith is a life changing relationship, a loyalty shift to Christ, based on trust in, and love for, Christ.
True faith is a whole person reality.

12/09/23 REALIZE WE ARE PART OF HIS BODY

12/09/23 REALIZE WE ARE PART OF HIS BODY

Believers make a major mistake by not realizing or acting on the fact that we are part of the body of Christ, both universally and locally.

Being part of something (including the body of Christ) inherently requires unity, cooperation, interdependence, submission. This kind of body-life for Christians is neither optional nor is it fashioned by your own desires.

God likens Christian body-life to the unity, the interdependence of the human body (1 Corinthians 12:12-31). The hand has no right to disassociate itself from the foot or the eye from the ear. Each part of the body plays a part in the successful function of the body. Sometimes a body part is disconnected or is diseased or is dysfunctional, and the body must function without that part, but that is the abnormal rather than the normal or healthy condition of the body. Likewise, when a part of a local body of believers is disconnected, diseased or dysfunctional the local body must continue in submission and service to God.

We will either be a part of the local body or we will be apart from the local body. The choice is ours. We can either accept God's plan, as given in His word, or we can write out our own itinerary, our on agenda, our own job description, our own game plan.

When the foot decides to be the eye, there is disunity and chaos.
When the eye decides to be the hand, there is disunity and chaos.
When the ear decides to be the tongue, there is disunity and chaos.

God is the one Who designs and distributes the ministries and functions of the human body and of the local body of believers. God assigns each part to serve the other parts, according to His will and His wisdom.

A disconnected, diseased or dysfunctional part harms the individual, the local body and the world into which God sends that body.
We have the opportunity to either be part of the body of Christ or be apart from the body of Christ.
We have the opportunity to serve and edify others and glorify God.
We do not have the opportunity to choose which part we will be.
Our place in the body is God's choice, not our own.
Our function is to serve others and glorify God.

The person who chooses their place in the body of Christ (universally or locally), and chooses how they will fit into the body, rather than submit to God's choosing, does not have the Spirit of God. They may have a spirit and the may be spirited and they may appear to be spiritual, but they do not have the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 12:12-31
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

The next chapter (1 Corinthians 13) addresses the more excellent way, which is love. Chapter 13 does not nullify chapter 12. We exercise our ministries and our gifts by love, in love, with love. The love of chapter 13 is is self denying, self sacrificing love. It is perfect love for God and others. It is obedient love,

12/08/23 IN PERSPECTIVE

12/08/23 IN PERSPECTIVE

(If my math is incorrect, please let me know. Thanks)

You do realize...
If Israel loses to Hamas, which is either encouraged or backed by anti-Jewish Palestinians, Iran, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Turkey, the Arab and Islamic world at large (between 1.8 and 2 Billion people, which is at least 120 times larger than worldwide Jewish population, and 240 times larger than Israeli Jewish population), then Israel and all Jews (worldwide population of 15 million) will be exterminated, which is actual genocide.

in perspective...
If USA faced an enemy of such proportions the enemy would be 240 times 340 million (US population, which would equal 81.6 billion people (which would be approximately 10 times larger than the entire world population today). To reduce that world population proportionately would still leave an enemy larger than 8 of today's worlds.

If, on the other hand Israel defeats Hamas, they will stop the paid kidnappers, child abusers, rapist, torturers, demonic necrophiliacs, and they will restore law and order in Israel for everyone, Jew, Muslim, Christian.

Israel is not committed to killing all Muslims, Palestinians, Arabs, Syrians, Egyptians, Libyans, Yemenis, or any other national or religious people (or all Western and Christian society). They are seeking to stay alive by eliminating the savages who do not wage war, but wage terror and commit unspeakable acts of perversion against non-combatants, old people, women, children and infants. On the other hand, it is the avowed intention of Israel's enemies to wipe Israel from the face of the earth. I don't make this stuff up. Wake up.

And for those who are not aware of it, the savages that want to destroy Israel also want to destroy Western civilization and Christian civilization.
If Israel wins, it is survival.
If Hamas wins it is genocide, leading to world overthrow.

If a leftist argues against this presentation, remember, they think men can be pregnant, (except they don't believe there is such a thing as a man or woman). Where do you get your info?

Let's see how long this post lasts.

12/08/23 OBEDIENCE, NOT DISOBEDIENCE, BRINGS JOY

12/08/23 OBEDIENCE, NOT DISOBEDIENCE, BRINGS JOY

Sometimes we do things we want to do and sometimes we do things we ought to do. Being a Christian means doing things we ought to do and we also want to do, because as Christians (Biblical, Spirit filled, Christ following Christians) we delight to do His will.

There are dark times, trying times, difficult times. There are battles, there are losses, there are heartaches. But those negatives do not come from being obedient to God. Jesus did not seek to escape the cross (contrary to the popular lie told these days). It was not the Father's will that was negative to Jesus. He despised the shame, but embraced the cross, because it was the will of the Father.

There are things we must do in obedience to God that are not fun things, things that often come with great sorrow, but it is not obedience to God that causes our loss or our sorrow. Usually it is the things which bring loss, sorrow, difficulty, darkness that results in God's leading us through that valley or that slough or that desert or that wasteland.

As I said, it is not obedience to God that brings us misery. On the contrary, it is disobedience that brings misery, but obedience brings joy.

Psalms 1:1-2
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalms 37:3-8
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Psalms 40:8
8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Psalms 94:17-19
17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Psalms 119:16
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

Psalms 119:24
24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors.

Psalms 119:33-35
33 HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

Psalms 119:47-48
47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

Psalms 119:68-72
68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Psalms 119:77
77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

Psalms 119:174
174 I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.

12/08/23 TREASURE THE REAL TREASURES

12/08/23 TREASURE THE REAL TREASURES

I consider myself to be conservative, others might think I am cheap. I have never wanted to be wasteful. Even as a child I did not want "stuff," partially because I knew daddy worked hard to provide for us and I did not want to be a burden. Since I got saved at a very early age, and took my relationship with Jesus seriously, I tended to be a good steward of my belongings (though I had no idea of what the word "stewardship" meant). I took care of my stuff, which resulted in it lasting me a long time. When I went to Bible College I occasionally got a little help financially along the way, and I appreciated it, but by far I paid my own way. I had several jobs throughout my college years (summer work on charter boats, distribution at a newspaper office, worker at a funeral home and an ambulance attendant, server at a fast food store, door-to-door sales, loading dock worker, landscaping), therefore I realized the importance of a dollar.

I was never financially astute, but I did learn how to make a dollar stretch. Over the years I learned to do so much with so little that I could almost do anything with nothing. I have had more than my share of possessions, experiences, adventures, travels. I realize that those blessings actually were the gifts of God. I have always appreciated new things, but I tried to get as much service out of my belongings as possible. As a result I have often held onto things past their time of usefulness. (I think of myself as a collector rather than a hoarder... hehehe).

Okay, so what is my point? Well, at this advanced stage of my life I am divesting myself of rare treasures (actually useless and worthless stuff). But I also have some possessions that are useful, so, I am hoping to get my stuff sorted and manageable. I don't want to leave a mountain of debris for loved ones to have to sort through in the days ahead. (of course, if the rapture takes place, it will save a lot of us from a lot of trouble).

Through the years I have lost things, worn things out, broken things. Some of those things I have missed and some of them I don't even remember. Some of my most valued, "things" were not actually "things," they were experiences, relationships, lessons learned, places visited, adventures, spiritual realities. Most important has been Jesus and my journey with Him. My whole existence makes sense only in the light of my relationship with Jesus, including my family relationships and my ministry.

I have stuff that is as good as they were the day that I bought them (like my barbell and dumbbell sets, with iron plates... hehehe). I have exercise equipment, electronic devices, tools, office equipment, books and more books, kayaks, fishing gear, car and other stuff. And of course, I have a house, a workshop (Net House) and property (that I am paying for). Aside from the real estate, I don't really have many material goods to get excited about.

I do wish I had been wiser about finances and business matters, but I really did put my energy and emphasis on things that will last for eternity. But those things are not always appreciated.

I studied hard and spent my energy in learning Biblical truth and in being the best son I could be to my parents as well as the best husband, father and grandfather, and the best pastor/teacher I could be. I did not give my family much in terms of material wealth, but I tried to give to them the riches of God's glory so that they might live in Christ;
so that they might walk in victory;
so that they might be more than conquerors;
so that they might love God with their whole heart and thereby keep His commandments and do that which is pleasing in His sight;
so that they might be filled with all the fullness of God;
so that they might be conformed to the image of God's Son and that they might be made pure, even as He is pure;
so that they might be brought up in the whole counsel of God;
so that they would know the truth and walk in the light;
so that they would be made perfect in love;
so that they would not be ensnared or led astray by the world, the flesh or the devil;
so that they would not come behind in any gift or blessing of God;
so that they might be blameless in the day of Christ;
so that they might fight the good fight and finish their course faithfully;
so that they might attain to the resurrection from among the dead.

I would have loved to have had a mother and father who put Jesus first in their lives and in our family (they did not, but I loved them with my whole heart).
I would loved to been taught the word of God in its purity and power (but I was not, yet I am overwhelmingly thankful for what my parents did to afford me the opportunity to learn Biblical truth).
I would have loved to have had Biblical counsel that would have saved me from unnecessary spiritual bumps, bruises and bungling in my walk with Christ (but I did not have Biblical counsel, still, I am grateful that my parents loved me and encouraged me to follow the Lord).
I would have loved to be able to worship with parents, grandparents, and other family members (but few of them were actual and active followers of Christ, yet those few occasions of "church time" were precious to me).
I would like to have had more time to sit at the Table with mamma and daddy.
And now, the time and opportunity for those wishes are gone.

I am trying to get my stuff in order these days, because you never know when you will no longer be able to get things in order. If the rapture does not take place during my lifetime, I hope I don't leave too much confusion in the "stuff" I leave behind. But mostly I would like to have all of the important parts of my life in the best of order. I would like to leave my real treasures in good order, in good relationships.

And I know I have a lot of friends who have some of the same thoughts, who have some of the same emotions. For folks who are grasping at the temporal, don't forget those who have loved you, when you were unlovable and did the best to give you the best they had.

12/07/23 WE ARE ALL FOLLOWERS

12/07/23 WE ARE ALL FOLLOWERS

Supposed antiestablishmentarian radicals (whether political, social, religious, musical, philosophical, or ethical) throughout history have been part of mass movements. It has been laughable to hear people boast about their individuality as they walk like, talk like, dress like, dance like, protest like, think like, eat like the multitudes of other people who claim to be, "not like everyone else."

Ultimately we are either followers of God or followers of the wannabe "god of this world." Those who choose not to follow the God of the Bible either follow some human leader (example, model) or some idea, which originated in the mind of The Prince of Darkness. There are not any actual "originals." Folks make a mistake, whether they think they are unique or that their uniqueness is unique.

There is only one truth, one right, one wise, one way and any rebellion against that one is rebellion against The One.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of that way is death.

As has been said,
There are four kinds of men.
1 The man who knows not and knows not that he knows not...
that man is a fool, avoid him.
2 The man who knows not and knows that he knows not...
that man is uneducated, teach him.
3The man who knows and knows not that he knows...
that man is asleep, awaken him.
4The man who knows and knows that he knows...
that man is a wise man, follow him.

Jesus said,
John 14:6
6 ..., I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus knows and He knows that He knows, follow Him.

12/06/23 SIMPLY STATED

12/06/23 SIMPLY STATED

A quick thought.
The problem with not walking in light is that you walk in darkness.
To excuse the wrong is to refuse the right.
To refuse the right is to embrace the wrong.
If you don't take hold of Divine truth, devilish deception will hold you prisoner.
